Privacy policy

This notice explains which personal data the mazesoftware.it website processes, why, and what your rights are, as required by Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").

Who is the controller

The controller is me, Luca Mazzacurati, as a private individual: this is my personal website, not a company's. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, write to me at [email protected].

When you visit the site

To show you the pages, the server receives the data every browser sends automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. I only use them to display the site and protect it from abuse, for example by limiting too many requests in a short time. The server keeps no access logs with your IP address.

The site uses no services from other companies: no Google Analytics, no advertising, no social media buttons. Even the fonts are served from my own server.

Visit statistics

To understand which pages are most interesting, for each page view I record: the page address, the language, the referring site (domain only), the device type (computer, tablet or phone) and a daily fingerprint. Statistics do not use cookies.

The fingerprint is a code calculated from your IP address and browser type together with a key that changes every day: it is only used to count the day's unique visitors. The IP address is not stored, and the next day the same visit produces a different code, so I cannot link visits on different days.

Nothing is recorded if your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). I keep this data as long as it is useful to compare visit trends over time.

If you write to me

When the contact form is available, I use the data you enter (name, email, optional phone and company, your message) only to reply to you, because you asked me to (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Providing it is optional, but without an email address I cannot reply. I receive a copy of the message in my mailbox. I keep the data for as long as needed to handle your request, then I delete it.

Cookies and data stored in your browser

The site only uses technical tools: a cookie that remembers your choice in the banner and your light or dark theme preference. External content, such as Google Maps, is only loaded with your consent. Details are in the cookie policy.

Where the data is

The data collected by the site stays on a server in Italy. I do not sell or share it with anyone, and I do not transfer it outside the European Union.

No automated decisions

I do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format or object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15–22 GDPR). You can withdraw your consent to external content from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. I will reply within one month.

If you believe the processing is not lawful, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the authority of the country where you live.
